Echoes of musicians as diverse as Thelonious Monk, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Astor Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos, Jimi Hendrix and the great Tin Pan Alley era songwriters inform his sound. Peter has a doctorate in classical guitar performance and literature and has performed in a variety of musical situations including rock, klezmer, classical, latin and, of course, jazz. His music embraces these diverse elements to create a sound that is rooted in the jazz tradition, yet enriched by music from outside of it.
